We are a values driven organisation committed to achieving our mission of ‘One team, transforming lives’, but we’re also entrepreneurial, maximising the value of our money and resources.

Acting as the First Response Housing Lead within Stockport’s Multi Agency Safeguarding Support Hub (MASSH), you will support families to sustain tenancies, improve life choices and live independently and work with colleagues to identify and act upon safeguarding concerns.

Within the role you will be responsible for the triage assessment of families referred for safeguarding concerns which relate to housing or require housing information.  Acting as the first point of contact for housing related information, you will manage a small case load of vulnerable households with complex issues seeking to prevent them from escalating into formal social care processes and be a visible first point of contact for all staff in helping to identify and act upon safeguarding concerns.

Candidates for this role must have excellent knowledge of safeguarding, coupled with the ability to make judgements about level of risk and when social care intervention is required.  Inspiring confidence and building rapport to engage customers, you must be capable of dealing with difficult customers and situations and a commitment to working with vulnerable people.  Knowledge of social housing and housing related services is essential, and you must have experience of completing Early Help Assessments (or similar) and being part of, and chairing, Team around the Child meetings.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for the role.

Closing Date: 27th October

Interview Date: 8th November
