You’ll be working in a fast-moving environment within the Home Ownership Team to support the organisation to deliver excellent services to our growing portfolio of leasehold and shared ownership customers. This is an increasing popular tenure and SHG has an ambitious Development Strategy to deliver around 1,000 new homes over the next five years.

You will need to understand Stockport Homes’ Home Ownership offer, work to our policies and procedures and ideally have a background in housing and/or property sales. However, more importantly you will be eager to learn, be organised and meticulous with an ability to communicate complex information in an easy to understand and jargon free-way.

You will also be flexible and determined, have excellent communication and IT skills and be able to work well with a range of people and teams. You should have experience of responding to customer queries in an efficient and accurate manner.The Homes Ownership Assistant will need to work as part of a larger team, but also independently and in an agile manner (including home working) and managing their own workload competently. You also be keen to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement to help develop this growing service as well as being part of an organisational-wide transformation project to deliver a new housing management system and document management portal,
