Agreeing and implementing individual support plans, you will accompany residents to appointments and meetings outside the scheme in a supportive capacity and prepare properties to be let after they have been vacated.
Candidates for this opportunity must demonstrate a high level of empathy but be capable of maintaining healthy boundaries with clients. Confident when challenging behaviour / resistance in others, you should have previous experience of providing support / befriending service to vulnerable people and an awareness of general resident support needs and specific support services / referral systems. A basic understanding of the benefits system, current rates of benefits and entitlement would be beneficial as would an awareness of issues relating to people who are homeless.
