One Manchester is an innovative provider of housing and community services. Formed in April 2015 from a historic merger between two of Manchester’s largest housing associations – City South and Eastlands Homes. In the subsequent two years the Group has achieved its initial merger aspirations and is now extending and expanding (doubling) its new homes programme across a range of tenures and locations. It currently owns and manages more than 12,000 homes in central, south and east Manchester.

The following opportunity has arisen due to forthcoming maternity leave and is likely to last for up to 12 Months.

You will support and develop our volunteer programme with the aim of supporting local unemployed people into work and adding value to local services and businesses. You will further develop and grow volunteering opportunities across new businesses, existing third sector partners and internally within One Manchester .

Applicants will have practical experience in developing and delivering volunteering programmes, partnership working and managing significant caseloads.

In addition, you will require:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High calibre organisational skills
  • Well developed training and coaching skills
  • A track record of developing productive relationships with colleagues and partners
