FRC are the leading One Stop Shop furniture provider in the UK, supplying and delivering contract standard furniture to housing providers. We have a tried and tested product range which is available on a five-day lead time and suitable for furnished tenancies, LWP, void properties, temporary accommodation and specialist services accommodation.

FRC undertakes large hostel refurbishments and new builds which can include the removal of unwanted furniture and the installation of new. FRC has student accommodation, key worker and PRS furniture packages which can be tailored to meet the needs of the client. We also work directly with customers to identify the most suitable range of products to meet their requirements and to keep it within the budget. FRC’s in-house design team design concept room plans to enable customers to visualise the proposal.

Buckingham Interiors provides interior design services and high quality, stylish products to sheltered housing accommodation including dementia schemes. Interior design includes specification of colours, lighting, decoration and residential furniture for corridors and communal rooms, flooring, window coverings and soft furnishings. We provide full project management of the delivery and installation of the scheme – new build or scheme refurbishment. This includes managing sub-contractors such as flooring and window installation specialists.

End Furniture Poverty is the campaigning arm of Furniture Resource Centre, working to tackle Furniture Poverty by raising awareness of the issue, carrying out research to understand how it can affect people and developing possible solutions, and working with partners to help those in crisis.

We are currently carrying out a research project looking at the provision of furnished tenancies and how they can help people in crisis and on low incomes to create a home, with contributions from One Manchester, Stockport Homes, Bolton Council, Northwards Housing and Clarion Housing Group.

We are also working with Oldham Council and a range of charities and support agencies on a Coordinated Crisis Support project, aimed at bringing to together crisis support and helping local people to get the help they so desperately need.

We regularly liaise with Greater Manchester Poverty Action to share our research and coordinate our work and are planning a project with them in the year ahead to look at the provision of Local Welfare Support across the region.

We also work with Clarion Housing Group on a flooring project and hope to expand this to other housing associations and local authorities across Greater Manchester in the coming months.
