GMHP is committed to the Greater Manchester Housing First ambition of solving the housing crisis by 2037, recognising that the security of a good home is the essential foundation for people to grow, thrive and achieve their potential.

To tackle the housing crisis and deliver on this ambition, GMHP’s Supply priority focuses on ensuring that Greater Manchester delivers more of the right homes in the right places. The GMHP Supply priority is led by its Growth theme and supported by the Ageing Well theme. This partnership is working to expand housing options, strengthen delivery capacity, and align investment to accelerate the supply of homes across Greater Manchester.

In 2024/25, GMHP members delivered over 2,400 new homes and continue to expand supply through a range of initiatives. This includes working with GMCA and partners on the development of energy efficient homes, maintaining a strong focus on supported and specialist housing, and aligning with the GM Ageing Well Strategy.

This work is critical to creating the solid base individuals and families need, while enabling the city-region to respond effectively to current and future housing challenges.
