Salix Homes is a multi-award-winning social housing provider based in Salford. We’re a not-for-profit charitable organisation who put our customers at the heart of everything we do, from investing in our homes and communities, to how we go about providing our services.

Whether it’s building and improving homes, providing jobs, tackling homelessness or making places safer we aim to help communities live, grow and thrive together.

We began our journey in 2007 when we launched as an arms length management organisation (ALMO) operating on behalf of Salford City Council. Since 2015 we’ve invested £75m into our homes and communities. This made sure that all our homes meet the Government’s Decent Homes standard.

We also provide jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities for local people and we work with our partner agencies to help our tenants improve their own lives.

Willo Homes – Willo Homes is the affordable home ownership brand of Salix Homes. Our aim is to offer high quality homes for affordable homeownership to not only help people on the property ladder, but also to give them a sense of belonging. We specialise in affordable homeownership options including Help to Buy, Shared Ownership and Rent to Buy, as well as homes for market sale, and we have a number of exciting new developments across Salford.

Salix Living – Salix Living is the private sector leasing and property management arm of Salix Homes. Salix Living offers property owners a three-year lease or a management arrangement to manage and rent properties on their behalf in Salford. The lease offers landlords a guaranteed rent for the term of the lease. We also offer a tenant finding service for landlords who simply want to find good, reliable tenants.
