GMHP Aids and Adaptations Protocol agreed

GMHP is pleased to announce that its Aids and Adaptations Protocol has now been formally agreed.

Developed through extensive consultation with GMHP members, local authorities, GMCA colleagues and Foundations UK, the protocol sets out a consistent and collaborative approach to how adaptations are managed across the region.

By setting shared standards, the protocol ensures clarity of roles, improved coordination with local authorities, and a fair, efficient customer experience regardless of provider or locality.

The protocol is being recognised for its innovative and sector-leading approach and as a result the GMHP team were invited to speak at the Foundations National Home Adaptations in Social Housing Conference to present the protocol and discuss its development. GMHP’s Coordinator Ian Ankers showcased the leading work GMHP is delivering across the region and the shared ambition to deliver consistent, high-quality adaptation services across Greater Manchester.

We hope the protocol will help ensure homes across Greater Manchester are safe, warm, accessible and supportive of independent, healthy living for all our customers.
