GMHP: Our Year in Review 2022/23
In the face of a challenging year, GMHP has continued to build on the solid foundations of our ten-year partnership, respond to the significant issues facing our residents, and deliver significant value and impact across the city region, as highlighted in ‘Our Year in Review 2022’, published this week.
From developing the strategic commitments and priorities in the Greater Manchester Tripartite Agreement to delivering significant impact through joint projects and initiatives ‘on the ground’, we have continued to demonstrate the strength of our partnership and our collective impact across Greater Manchester.
Last year our members helped almost 10,000 residents into or towards work, supported hundreds of apprentices, helped customers access over £22m in benefits and grants, and invested £330m into high quality new housing that saw 2362 new build homes completed by our members. But more than ever, our focus has been on getting core services right for residents, sharing good practice, and learning from each other.
Charlie Norman, Chair of GMHP said: “Following what has been a very challenging year locally, nationally, and globally, this report highlights the work we have done together over the past 12 months.
“Among the highlights are the work we are doing to support people with the cost-of-living crisis, our collective efforts to retrofit existing homes to make them warmer and more affordable, and increased development of new homes in what has been a very difficult time for the sector, with huge pressures on our business plans.
“In achieving this, we recognise that we are stronger when we do things together, at scale with our partners, and with the voice of our residents at the heart of it all.”
