"We stand for peace, respect, and kindness..."

The 28 members of the GMHP partnership wish to express their concerns about the very worrying incidents we are seeing in some communities across the UK where tensions are rising and some people are being targeted based on their background.

Behaviour which is motivated by hatred is particularly harmful and can affect the security of our communities. We want to reiterate that our organisations position on this and stress that we stand for peace, respect, and kindness. We will all be worried about the news reports of recent events, and we want all our workforce and those who work with us to be supportive of our customers and remain vigilant when out and about, and also supportive of each other.

We must stand together against all forms of violence and hate which can have a significant impact on those experiencing it, leaving people feeling vulnerable and isolated.
